Our fledgling SteamOS games magazine will be featuring CrossCode this month and we have used this image for a mock up of our cover image for issue zero.

We would like to use it on our finished cover as it is of a high enough quality to be used without resizing and I honestly did not know that it was not an official piece of artwork for the game until I actually followed the link to the image on Google Images. So I guess I'm saying that it's of a quality consistent with the game itself and that is no small compliment.

But of course we will not use you image without permission and if you have a problem with this or wish to negotiate terms then both our publication and contact details can be found here on our website which I cannot post a link to in the comments. But I can tell you now that we don't have any additional funds to pay for art, but we usually offer some kind of 'advertising space' to anyone who has provided us with material.

And if I don't hear from you then I will just assume that you are cool with us using what is ultimately public artwork. So if you are protective of your IP then don't hesitate to get in touch. Thankyou - Ed

Feel free to contact the actual developer of the game for official art with higher resolution:

Well I don't mind, but don't you think you have to use an original Artwork for an cover image?
Maybe you contact Radical Fish Games on their website to get one?

Indeed we have contacted them and they have seen your image and approve of it so I think that the thing to do is credit you as an artist in our contributors panel.
If you're fine with us simply naming you as you appear on DeviantArt then don't feel you need to reply. But if you want to put your real name on it then contact me please. Thanks.

I know they do. I even asked them for their opinions.
And you don't need to mention me at all.

No worries we have a few other minor anonymous contributions too so this is normal.
But if you have some kind of small signature graphic you might use it like to sign your piece when it appears on our cover.
Or I can just use your deviantart handle in a small but legible font, but anon is fine too :) just saying you can be proud of your fan art here.
we do plan to publish in paper as well as PDF so hi resolution detail will be present in the paper version.

I will assume you would rather remain anonymous unless I hear otherwise.

I loved the game's demo, and I hope those guys get it fully funded.
You matched her proportions well, although her ponytail seemed a good bit longer and fuller in the game, unless this is just perspective playing tricks on me.
You did well, and I'm hoping to see some more fanart of other characters in the game pop up all over the internet.
